How to plan in a week that is already a busy one. 

How to cope with weeks that are so busy you don't know how you will get through the week.

We discuss several ideas on how to cope when everything gets thrown at you.

01:45 - Busy times are times when you should be using your planner to the max.
03:00 - The sudden realisation that life is getting busy.
04:30 - Appointments can't always be moved, but tasks between the appointments can be moved.
06:00 - Look at the times in the week when you can get done in the time available.
07:30 - Maximise the time available during train/plane journeys.
08:45 - Use your review process to get in to the detail of planning your week.
10:00 - Consider restricting the times of day you check email, social media to cut down wasted time.
12:00 - Add detail to your planner of all the things you have to get done.
13:30 - Consider changing planner layout during busy weeks.
14:15 - Try to build up some buffer space/time.
16:00 - Prioritise things as well as writing things down.
16:30 - Change your scope of planning ahead.
17:15 - Change the days you do routine things.
18:15 - Alter your commitments to improve your productivity.
19:15 - Make sure you include short/minor tasks in your planner.
21:15 - Consider using electronic reminders for regular routine tasks
22:00 - Make sure you know what day of the week it is! Wrist watch?
23:15 - Why do these busy weeks keep happening?
25:00 - Shut out the distractions to help you focused on the tasks in your busy week.
25:45 - Review your progress during the week.
26:30 - Be realistic with what you can sensibly achieve in any one day.
27:00 - Enter details of any forthcoming event in your planner, no matter how far it is in the future.
